krazy katholic kwotes of the day
From THE WINNIPEG SUN:
"It is on the record that he is a homosexual. If it would have been private there would be no issue. But he publicized it ... we all sin, but we don't make it public."
(Maria Slykerman, Manitoba head of the Campaign Life Coalition, speaking about their succesful campaign to stop James Loney speaking at a Roman Catholic social justice conference)
In its own right that's a classic, flouncer quote but then John-Henry Westen, the editor of LifeSiteNews.com, (part of the Campaign Life Coalition) said he doubts the rejection of gay speakers will turn others off from the church. "People know what the church stands for, and one of the things that could be a turn-off is hypocrisy."
There would so much less laughter in the world if evil people stopped talking.

I would like to make sure that we have on record that I am a complete homosexual.

I am very much in support of letting evil talk, even though it deprives us of all the hard, dirty work.
Slykerman: "we all sin, but we don't make it public."
You just did.
Paul.
Well done
Being pedantic has its uses, then?
Always, MP.
This just goes to show that we are better than those stupid Katholix. If I weren't such an incorribible liberal I'd say, bring back the Penal Laws.
Penny for the guy, anyone?

Well, Adrienne,
I don't know if we're better than them - better is such a subjective quality. The important thing is that we are far more intelligent than they are and we sing better and our jokes are funnier.
And we have better bloggers
Well, all of us are a lot better looking as are our readers.
So now we do have it on record, finally. It is not genital acts but the very fact of being homosexual which is a sin. Well I'm glad we cleared that up.
D.P.
I will now join Church Lady in a "Superior Dance".
Compare the much villified James Loney to the entire Roman Episcopacy, including the Uncle Fester impersonator currently occupying the Throne of Saint Peter, and it is clear who has the superior looks anyway.
These folks are unpeasant to look at
or to talk to
or to be around.

oops
double posted.
Of course we’re better looking, because we’re noble north European types, not mendacious Mediterraneans or slithering Slavs. It’s in the genes. And we’ve got more brains than to go around invoking saints and praying for dead people. The only good thing I can say about those bloody stinking subhuman homophobic Katholix is that most of them, if they double post, have enough sense not to draw attention to themselves by posting a yet third time. But that doesn’t begin to make up for the Crusades (not that I like Mohammedans) or the St Bartholomew’s Day Massacre (not that I like Calvinists) or all the things in Foxe’s Book of Martyrs (not that I like Puritans either, who were even more homophobic than the Papists).

Besides, the RC hierarchy is taking a stroll down memory lane with crowds of Falangists in Rome this week. They're singing the old songs, and bursting into tears whenever they see the Caudillo's fading pictures.
Oh, for a soundtruck playing the Internationale at full blast tearing around Saint Peter's square this week! What a great Halloween prank that would be!
I see Radfem's joining Bob Dylan in a razor blade garggle.
Take your priggish Anglo-Saxon faux superiority and blow!
Barak Obama stepped in quite a pile of it yesterday in what I suppose I must, after 30-odd years residence here, consider my "home town". Got himself mixed up with "ex-gay" preacher Donnie McClurkin. Big enough story for the NYT to be on to it.

Has Radicalfeministpoet achieved troll status yet? Just checking. Don't want to be breaking any of the rules, ya know.
I think she has, and I should stop throwing her fish heads.
RadFem just likes to stir things up. Some on bnet's A/E board actually miss her.
RadFem's comments are too short to be really boring and, as I've said before, it's the boring I can't stand.
Her mean stupid pharmacist must be refusing to give her her meds.
Yes, DCW; probably he's frustrated that he's not her gynecologist.
