gafcon stirs up more
violent hatred in Uganda
From QUEERTY:
Last week, Uganda hosted GAFCON, a group of homophobic Anglicans looking to revolt against the broader international Communion, which garnered their ire by refusing to denounce gay Bishop Gene Robinson.
Riding the tide of intolerance, the Ugandan government this weekend announced they're going to take a harder line against gays, a group that already lives in fear there.
Concerned by the "mushrooming" gay population, Ethics and Integrity Minister James Buturo released the following statement:
"The state of moral health in our nation is challenging and we are concerned about the mushrooming of lesbianism and homosexuality.Ten years ago, this phenomena was not there, but the disease has penetrated everywhere."
Buturo says he and his ilk hope to establish stricter laws against the already prohibited gays and will push for more prosecution.

Those Lesbians and Gays eh? They'll do anything to annoy the church.
I never knew homosexuality was a fungal disease. Another leap forward for Ugandan science.
Niiiiice.
Teh gay..IT'S SPREADING!!!!!!
Perhaps aid could be sent in the form of anti-fungal cream.
What does an Ethics and Integrity Minister in Uganda do? Not checking the governmental books and other things done by the US Inspector General's office. No, they have the modern equivalent of a witch hunt.

And these are the people who are claiming they will lead us to God?

It's ironic: those so obsessed w/ demonic possession, often themselves seem to be so demonically possessed.
The mind reels at the thought of what "stricter laws against" homosexuality in Nigeria might mean.
Well, this proves it: There ARE gays in Africa. Mushrooming gays.
I shall expect a retraction and an apology from Big Pete in the coming days.
Oh, I do love the idea of all those mushrooming gays strolling through the Ugandan meadows with their wicker baskets. My grandmother used to tell me that the best mushrooms were always found under cow pats. Do you think the Ugandan gays go blackberrying as well? It's a veritable rural idyll.
