FORGET THAT YOU ARE DUST
AND TO DUST YOU SHALL RETURN

A big thank you to JCF for sending this major
league media gaffe into MadPriest Towers.

Did they ever figure it out?

An herb that is very good for treating bruises like the one on Biden's head. :D

  2. OK good she did figure it out.

On my way out the door for work; almost missed the very end.

    Good one

  3. I doubt that she figured it out, Tracie, but was told by "research."

  4. Neither she nor the male talking head figured it out. KJ has it; they were told. Hmmm...

  5. Truthfully, though: barely some minutes after I saw this (Keith Olbermann had it on MSNBC Tuesday night), I looked up from my couch (there happens to be a mirror across from it). I had a brief "WTF?!" moment: I'd forgotten about my own smudge! *LOL*

  6. I also loved how she (Ms Burley) said "I'm a Very Bad Catholic!" at the end: one could half imagine her in plaid school-skirt, bending over for Sister's ruler? [OK, that's probably just me. ;-p]

  7. Hey, we haven't heard from Straight David yet! ;-/

  8. I'm pretty sure it was just JCF.

There's something one never hears applied to oneself -- "I'm a bad Episcopalian/Anglican." We just apply that to others.

  9. I had the same thought, JCF (but then I had already read your comment - well that's my excuse).

How either of them could have thought it was a bruise is beyond me. Looks nothing like one.

  10. Well, I'm clearly the odd one out. I didn't work it out either. All our Ash Wednesday services are in the evening and I've never seen anyone walk around with a smudge on their foreheads so the thought just didn't occur to me.

  11. Have you ever considered a career in the media, Erika?

  12. MP, no, I haven't. Although if not getting it is a requirement I might be well suited to it.
