Loved it - right down my street. That's the first time I've heard the Fontella Bass version. That song takes me back to Northampton because I think I bought my Maxine Brown copy there.Almost all the time I was there I don't think I really knew anybody who actually was born in Northampton.Everybody seemed to come from London,Newcastle or Scotland.I seem to remember there was an Irish community around the Semilong area - I used to go for a drink in an Irish club down there.I remember buying records at Memory Lane in Bridge Street and Spinadisc - that's where I first started buying Lovers Rock. There used to be The Roadmender,The Caribbean Club and some other club whose name I can't remember.Well, there we are,MadPriest - enough nostalgia for one day,

Memory Lane for northern soul. Spinadisc for punk.
