THE SUNDAY GO TO CHURCH HOLINESS JUKEBOX

I wish performers in the British and American Christian
ghetto, musical scene were as talented and uncringeworthy
as this Norwegian lady. She comes across as a mash up of
Dolly Parton and Gillian Welch - good, honest country
singing which is unashamedly about Jesus yet so down to
earth that nobody's embarrassment meter is going to click
off zero. Just like the old timers and black gospel singers
back in the day.

Of course, to the shallow minded like myself, it really
helps that she is also an A list babe.

  1. At last - a Norwegian spotlighted.
As the granddaughter of a Norwegian immigrant to the U.S. I am delighted to note that MP is correct on all counts regarding this countrywoman of my maternal grandfather.

But seriously...this is delightful MP. Thanks.

(Now to navigate the word verification. This is bound to take two tries. Sigh.)

  2. Because I don't usually like the modern take on Christian music I seldom listen to it. I like the old hymns and especially the old gospel ones so with your description I decided to listen.

It has the feel and the sound of those old hymns and she is good!
