Sex & God & Rock & Roll
I think that maybe these two have little comprehension of the "family" nature of those of us who frequent this on-line community. I have no problem with your soliciting gifts. It's not as if we have to respond. Is it any worse that standing up in church on a Sunday nd asking for people to put money in the plate which then goes off to various destinations? (By the way, my birthday is August 3rd!)The Inland Revenue comment is a complete red herring and nobody's business but yours. And "rent-free accomodation" tied to a post may be lovely whilst you have it, but there is no chance to build up the independant security of owning your own home. Come redundancy or retirement there is a great problem.But then nothing you do will ever be acceptable to these commentators.
I think that maybe these two have little comprehension of the "family" nature of those of us who frequent this on-line community.I agree with Saintly Ramblings. Also, it seems perfectly obvious to me that if we were all in a parish with a specific geographical location, rather than a virtual one, as it were, then of course we would all buy you a drink for your birthday down the pub. It goes without saying. So this is a way of getting round the fact that this is a virtual parish.I must say, Mad Priest, you've got a knack for inspiring obsession. I mean, I know there has been some bad feeling, but gentlemen, let it go, eh?
Happy Birthday, MP.I am also a 51 year old bi-polar Gemini, or at least I manifest bi-polar even though I'm simply excitable or exhausted, but that took 14 years of therapy and medication to sort out.Never Mind.Personally, I think you're about the most Christian of all the preachers I've ever heard - except for James Forbes who was the preacher for a while at the church where I work as a preschool teacher. Note - I still don't like Church, but I love you, Mad Priest.Those guys can go fuck themselves.xoTricia
Thanks, Tricia.Although, I'm going to scratch James Forbes' eyes out if I ever meet him :-)
It's a shame how some people get excited at the littlest things...Sounds like a major coronary is in line for these folks!!
Just for the record, I've never thought of myself as being "with it," whatever that means, and I'm pretty sure that my students would agree with me, if they knew what it meant.
They also seem to think that our function here is to flatter the Mad One. Evidently they don't read the comments here particularly carefully, or they'd know that the opposite is the case.wv = verysme(rather like a pirate)
Happy birthday, young fella.
Oh, for the love of Pete!Some people really have too much time on their hands.(They're just jealous!):-)
You're going to have to stand in line, MP. There's a posse from the church still chasing him ;)
Tricia wrote, "I am also a... bi-polar Gemini"Isn't that a bit redundant ? ;->::runs and hides::
I'd be careful if I was you, David. Remember there are two of us for every one of you.
Well, if you wanna talk astrology, I'm a Pisces, which has a certain duality to it as well (two fish, don't ya know). My Venus and Mars are also in Fire signs, which makes me, what ? conflicted ? psycho ? hot stuff ? (depends on the day, I suppose).

David is a teddy bear.....
Happy Birthday, Jonathan.My best gift to you is to tell you - ignore these people. They're not just bitter, they're sadistic, wanting to hurt you, humiliate you publicly.
David is a teddy bear..... I never doubted it.
