THE SOPPY SHEILA SELECTION

Based solely on a virtual friendship and a rather grainy blog photo taken well over 20 years ago, this is how I imagine our very own soppy sheila (Cathy) if she was a dog.

  1. Aww. (Is this a Beardy, or an Old English? I sometimes find it hard to tell.)

  2. Sheila is an animagus?

  4. Awwwwwww from me too - I'm tickled pink, Mad Priest. I was wondering what had happened to the "If OCICBWers were dogs" occasional series. Hurrah!!!!! That is a very wise expression on that dawg's face. What sort of a dog am I, might I ask? ...

KJ, if you can run into telephone boxes and emerge in your cape and tights, I guess other people can be animagi (pl?)

  5. Actually this dog looks as wise as Gandalf.

I suppose JCF has already answered my question, in a way.

  8. The doggie looks just like Cathy's picture, but whether the cutie looks like Cathy is a whole other matter.

  9. So Cathy was a male in another life? That is a very butch appearing dog.

  10. I did have one friend in Australia who always used to ask me if I was a gay man trapped in a woman's body, Dah-veed, so maybe so.

Anyway, it's definitely a bearded collie. I looked the breed up and they are apparently known for what the website referred to as "delayed maturity". Perhaps this is what Mad Priest was getting at? ...

Either way, it's as Ellie says, adorabuhls - a lovely dog.
