One of the best nativity scenes I ever saw involved a majestically large purple and green spotted rubber duck, inexplicably not mentioned in any of the gospel accounts. Obviously, it should have been.
I've been searching for some less "white" Marys and Josephs to mix and match. Haven't found any in my price range yet, but I did find a whole Nativity scene where ALL the characters were rubber duckies, including the baby Jesus!
I like the authentic black and white dawg.
