IT'S IN THE GENES

My niece (goddaughter), Larissa, whose marvellous voice I have featured before at OCICBW..., entered a national talent contest this year. She got as far as the penultimate round, which was very good as she is a classically trained singer and this particular contest was geared up, primarily, towards pop singers. Furthermore, the sound engineer obviously has no idea how to mix vocals with a backing track and, above all, my niece is definitely no slapper, which seems to be the number one qualification for female pop stardom nowadays.

Here is the video of her performance. To be honest it does seem a little unfair that all the members of one family should possess so much talent.

And my goodness! She sure can hit those high notes at the end.
