THE SOPPY CRYSTAL SELECTION

On her blog, PERSPECTIVE, yesterday, Crystal wrote the following:

There's a post by Kelvin Holdsworth, the Provost at St. Mary's Cathedral in Glasgow, that struck me tonight. At the top of the post was a photo of Kelvin's cat Tilly who had just passed away. She looked almost exactly like my cat Data, who died a few years ago in January and of whom I dreamed last night.

Miss you, Data.

  1. Blessings and love sent to Data. She was a real beauty, yes she was.

Comfort to you, Crystal. I know this particular grief all too well.

  3. My beloved Fifi is trying to persuade Data and Tilly in Catnip Heaven that they should really let her sit on the comfiest bit of the sofa.

  6. What a pair of magnificent cats! They are not unlike my Mr. Boots, a beautiful tuxedo cat who joined the angels in December of 2003.

  7. I am sorry, I haven't responded to Kelvin.

I feel really guilty, but, this is still too close to my own fearfulness. I can't let myself think of it, or it consumes my thought, brings on obsessive worry, sleeplessness, sickness - that's how my own emotional/mental dysfunction works. Worry consumes, even groundless, free-floating worry.

But, Kelvin, Crystal I am so sorry. I grieve with you.
