I'm still in a bit of a grumpy mood so I don't exactly sparkle on this podcast. But the music is GREAT!

Oooh, I can't wait! A grumpy DJ!
ReplyDeleteAre those my legs in the top picture?
At least your grumpy mood didn't cloud your judgment, MadPriest. Excellent selections here. I can't say more, because I would sound sycophantic. Heaven forbid!
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of free songs at Amazon because of all the stuff I buy through your gadget. Which would you choose from these selections? So far I have 15 songs marked, so it's a matter of whittling down. I'm curious to see if you select 2 from my 15.
I don't often have a chance to listen to your musical posts. However, I'm enjoying this immensely while working and trying to keep a cool head while the Jack Russell Rescue is in progress. Thanks, MP.
ReplyDeleterenz, prayers that all goes well with the relay. I just know that you and Skittles will love each other.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mimi. This will be as close as I ever get to standing outside a delivery room. It's hard to just be calm. :-)
ReplyDeleterenz, I know! I've been inside the delivery room and outside. Inside is painful, and outside is anxious-making.
ReplyDeleteNevermind the advice. I only had one song, and I chose it already.
ReplyDeleteHey, MP, do you take requests?
ReplyDeleteUnder the terms of my podcast licence I am not supposed to, Renz.
ReplyDeleteOn a completely different matter, Renz, have I ever mentioned to you that you can email me direct, without having to use the comment boxes?
Oh, but I'm always happy to hear what my listeners "favourite " soul tunes are. Just for personal reference.
ReplyDeleteI confess that I’ve looked at soul as the “B-team.” Sure, I grew up with Motown and loved it, but when funk took the one-beat and blew down the musical walls of Jericho, I stopped paying attention to soul. Gimme the funk — 100%, uncut. But you keep pumping the soul into my earhole and, tonight at least, I just can’t get enough. Heaven may not be a place that’s much like the outskirts of Eden where we all live now. But if there’s no music there, especially soul and funk, then I'm gonna' start lookin' for a ride back.

I saved this for Sunday - played through "Tequila" before church and now playing the rest for the afternoon - a brilliant end to bilingual English/Spanish Eucharist day, followed by adult education. Chillin' and kickin' back, y'all.
