Sex & God & Rock & Roll
Whether it's of hardness of heart or softness of head, I pray Frank be healed...wv, "crown": our Risen King w/ many---
Happy Easter Mad One!I hope that more support rolls in. Let's not dismiss Frank. He may yet become a supporter. He only needs to be let down by someone he least suspects and helped by someone just like you.....
Sad.I'll say no more than the following because I don't have time. I'm on my way to the hospital to pray for someone who's having surgery in a couple of hours and who has requested my presence. Frank, is that a "fake" ministry? What if I told you that MP's ministry and that of the community here is part of what supports and sustains me in MY ministry? Shall I not go to the hospital and instead tell the patient that I'm fake so he's better off without me?I'm praying for you right now, Frank.Gotta go. Bye.
Frank needs help, prayer (i say that grudgingly) and a life.
Why is it that we do not realize how much we reveal about ourselves when attack others?
Frank's priest presumably doesn't get paid at all. Or is it only a scam if the money comes directly from the congregation, not if it comes from the congregation via the church organisation?Oh dear, a bit of logic really would help. Apart from that, I agree that Frank needs lots of prayer. But I also want to say that I'm a bit upset that we have to see so many of MP's posts asking for money. What is it with everyone here? I know not everyone can afford to contribute, but with the number of people reading this blog on a regular basis and downloading St Laika's, we really ought to have put him on a secure financial footing by now.
Thanks, Erika. To be honest, Frank is right about something. I do not wish to do any other job other than being a priest and, as I have tried 75 times, without success, to get a job working for the church, it appears that the most obvious place for me to carry on being a priest is on the Internet. We will be moving from my church accommodation some time in the next month or so, if all goes according to plan. When I was a priest I was taking home £1400 per month after tax and national insurance. I reckon we can survive (including having to pay all the mortgage repayments and rates we did not have to find before) on my wife's wages plus £800 from myself. To do this I will need to raise about £1000 from donations. At the moment I have reached a monthly income of about £600.If I do not get to the £1000 target before we move then I will attempt to get a part time job to make up the difference. I would prefer not to have to do this as it would reduce the time I have to spend on my online ministry and, to be honest, it would, most likely, be boring. But needs must. So, I am pushing hard with the appeal at this moment in time in an attempt to get my finances on a firm footing before we move. After we have moved, whatever the situation I am in at that point, I will reduce the begging considerably.I have tried to be completely up front with you all in this comment but If any friends of OCICBW... need clarification on anything I have missed, I will be more than pleased to provide it.
In a post below you mentioned that over 700 people visited St. Laika's tenebrae service. If 700 persons contributed 3 British pounds (five bucks American), you would have 2100 pounds in the blink of an eye. Is that too much to ask for our Man in Newcastle?
Is that too much to ask for our Man in Newcastle?Yes. It probably is. I would be very happy with £1 per person :-)
"When the church starts to be the church it will constantly be adventuring out into places where there are no tried and tested ways. If the church in our day has few prophetic voices to sound above the noises of the street, perhaps in large part it is because the pioneering spirit has become foreign to it. It shows little willingness to explore new ways. Where it does it has often been called an experiment. We would say that the church of Christ is never an experiment, but wherever that church is true to its mission it will be experimenting, pioneering, blazing new paths, seeking how to speak the reconciling Word of God to its own age."-- Elizabeth O'ConnorI've long admired the late O'Connor who was one of the ministers of Church of the Savior, an ecumenical, socially conscious congregation in Washington, D.C.
My current pledge to my parish is about 3 pounds a week and a stretch. That is how tight it is for us as we fight off the foreclosure action here. So I am not really able to contribute. The best I can do is buy a few things through the amazon portal. But then I will be off air accept via free access at libraries soon if we do not win the case. What the devil is everyone else's excuse?FWIWjimB
What a sad, angry, lonely and bitter person. I long ago learned that such bile is a reflection of what the ranter thinks of himself.
The Viking Chick speaks:What a fucking jackass and waste of human flesh. Doesn't he have a sister to go sire some inbreds on? grrrrrrrr!!!!
I dunno, I think he gets some props. After all, he at least has a name he can sign unlike Mr. Hughes.FWIWjimB
Hey, crazies. See, you think you know the Crazy one, OR you really know what he is but your morals are so low, you'll do anything to protect your fellow liar(s). None of you, by the statements above, would be anyone a decent person would let in their house. I am in my early 20s, my wife is pregnant and, for you wierd/abnormals, in the next day or so, I'm going to start using the blog my dad gave me to expose, again, the sick little group of wierdos you are. I'm back in town from graduate school to await the birth of our first child. So wierds check LCSM and go to Franklance blog and, if you have any degree of normality you would see how most people know abnormal people like MP and several of you are. This will probably not be published, but MP should. You wierds get all sweaty with excitement when MP gets exposed and he casts his thunderbolts. Is a strawberry soda and raisin bread all right for his eucharist. Frank
Hey Jim my dad tells me you used to have some decency. He said you lost it when he suggested you , of all people, review his dispute with MP. You hid. Afraid of the sick ones?Ellie, sure, dad says you might be decent, but you really can tell people by the company they keep. You've given up a lot of your character for a little attention and a chance to titter at a 'great' man. Shame.
Frank, I don't know who your dad is so I really don't know what you're talking about. But let's just say, for the sake of discussion, that you're right - that we're all weirdos here. Here's my question: Why do you care? There's help available for this kind of obsession, Frank. Do consider availing yourself of it.
75 rejections? So the Holy Spirit knows a worthless, predatory poseur when He sees one? Lord be praised!
Folks, I believe this Tracie is one of the ladies who got a bit nasty with me at the time of the original controvery.See the games the wierds/misfits play. She has a vested interest in you people not hearing my side. Of course, she's hiding who she is in this situation. Another one of the Crazy one's little "harem" of misfits.By "harem," I in no way imply anything about physical relationship. She once showed a little class by removing some ugly comments on her blog about me.I thought that was class, but she has fallen again into the Crazy one's web,I see.Tracie, let me know if you are the same Tracie. Maybe we can explore that. Frank
Everyone, this is that idiot who came here about two years ago asking leading questions about masturbation. His "dad" is that idiot with the Catholic Sports Music blog. "Dad" is in quotes because they are not real blood relatives, AFAIR.These losers have been fixated on MP and the rest of us ever since. They have visited each of your respective blogs to cause trouble in the past; Father Harris, Mini, Ellie, Jim, I think I recall they even visited Renz's place. They have no real life.
Prayers for healing, for our trolls' evident mental problems.
Everyone, this is that idiot who came here about two years ago asking leading questions about masturbation. His "dad" is that idiot with the Catholic Sports Music blog. "Dad" is in quotes because they are not real blood relatives, AFAIR.Wow.That is just . . . disturbing. Not just the pettiness of this ongoing devotion to someone they hate, the fixation on someone who supposedly isn't worth their time, but the whole creepy thing going on in the background, there.I would say the obsession with us is not the only sickness demonstrated in that pairing!

Anyone who has a problem with me or anything I do is welcome to armor up and step on the field with Joe, and duke it out with him. We just got a really nice bearded axe from a friend of ours, and it needs breaking in. As does the 14' pike in our library. We also have a hand-and-a-half, a Roman gladius, a Celtic leaf-bladed sword, a 6' hunting spear, and various other pieces of hardware that are all in battle-ready condition. I am also on very friendly terms with a US Marine veteran who also can armor up and step on the field with anyone who has problems with me. In fact, I know several large, strong, battle-seasoned men (some of whom are military veterans) who would be more than happy to face anyone who would besmirch my reputation, and settle the question once and for all.Chivalry is not dead among some of us. So choose your weapon.
This is the USMC veteran I spoke of. You do NOT want him to get medieval on you. :)
Frank,I honestly do not recall the incident to which you refer. Sorry.I think if you actually read what I posted that I did not attack you personally but rather said you were / are superior to one of our other regular attackers. I do have the same question several others hear have expressed: why do you bother? We do not threaten you. Were we to succeed in taking over the entire Anglican Communion (not that we could even agree on what that is) we are the sort of folks who would not threaten you. Why do you care?WE care because we like each other. I genuinely like the regulars here (well mostly :-) and I think most of them actually like me (I know hard to believe!) We all seem to like and respect Jonathon. None of that harms you. Why do you care?FWIWjimB
Jim, don't ya know that "Frank" thinks he's Jesus Christ and he has to 'save us' from Jonathan's scheming ways?He is convinced, in his deranged mind, that Jonathan is the Doge himself. He is convinced that Jonathan is trying to scam us all out of every penny we have. So "Frank" or "John" or whoever he is convinced that he must step in and warn us away from Jonathan and ensure that Jonathan doesn't see a penny out of us. "Frank" regards it as his bound Christian duty to speak up and alert us to this dangerous man who would rob us all dry of every penny we have. He feels if he does not do so, and we fall into Jonathan's mad trap, he is at least partially responsible for our unfortunate situation, so he can at least assauge his conscience and say "I tried to warn them, Lord." I say people like this do not understand kindness at all. They need to be absolutely censored in any way possible. They cannot be reasoned with in any way. The only thing that will work is permanent institutionalization and spending the every waking hour of the rest of their natural lives drugged utterly off their noggins, to the point where they can't tell night from day, dreams from wakefulness, pain from pleasure, etc. I hope they get exactly that. In spades.
Tracie,Remind me never to make you angry? FWIWjimB
I have to admit that it's nice, hanging around medieval re-enactors who fight with real steel weapons. I feel ever so protected. Aforementioned/depicted Marine veteran is also a firearms instructor and he does a lot of private security work as well. He used to be a bail bondsman and has done some bounty hunting also. At one time, he also rode on the professional jousting circuit. I like having friends like that. :)Of course, Joe is concerned about me spending time alone at home if he has to be out on show site late at night, and he said we need to get me some firearms training and a Taurus Judge to keep in the house - it's a revolver that fires shotgun shells (which my dad taught me to pack when I was about 9 years old) and anything hit with THAT is absolutely going DOWN.
I have test fired a Taurus. The good news is that anything hit is over. The bad news is it is very short ranged and not real super accurate. It is also of course a pure anti-personnel weapon -- no hunting / target potential at all. Still for its purpose, a .410 with #2 duck shot loaded is pretty effective.
