Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, Lois. Sarah Jane was younger than I am, too. Sixty-three is shockingly young. She was a wonderful actor. May she rest in peace
Although made for CBBC the "Sarah Jane Adventures" are also enjoyable for adult Dr Who aficionados to watch as an off-shoot of the main series. Fun plots and characters, and now there will be no more they pass into the legend.
63 is shockingly young these days...how very sad. I haven't seen her recent programmes, but loved her in Dr Who, when I was younger, and had quite a crush on her...
I had four pieces of news from old friends this week: Lis, who is now beyond her cancer; Jay, who just had news of a recurrence; Feorag, who has been assured her recent surgery was successful; Carol, who has just been newly diagnosed.
I can see me spending Holy Week praying for all people dealing with cancer, at whatever stage, either in themselves or in their loved ones.
OMG, I thought you meant one of the first Doctors! :-(
ReplyDeleteElisabeth was looking great: what happened to her?
May she rest in peace, and rise in glory...
63 - she's young! She's younger than I am. (Sigh - Light Perpetual, Elisabeth.)
ReplyDeleteWe don't get Dr. Who, because Cablevision of Connecticut doesn't do BBC America. But I fell in love with Dr. Who in the Tom Baker years.
Effing cancer. Effing, effing cancer!!! >:-0
ReplyDeleteSeeing Sarah Jane's love for "K-9", I hope Elisabeth had a flesh&blood cold nose near her at the end. {Sigh}

ReplyDeletewhen I was younger
ReplyDeleteCORRECTION: "when I was a lot younger."

As it is early in the day I have added your comment to today's Prayer List, Dougs.
ReplyDeleteMay Elisabeth rest in Peace.

When I was younger ? Heck, I had a crush on her while she was doing her current show :)
ReplyDeleteWoman was a poster child for the fact that you don't have to be a 19-yr old fashion model to be beautiful and make a fellow's heart beat faster!
Rest in peace and rise in glory.
