From JimB:
The Chicago community is going through a major weather disaster. Almost 1 million customers (homes, stores etc) lost electric power in yesterday's wind storm. The utility people are working themselves into exhaustion trying to re-connect everyone. Meanwhile essential things like light, cooling and water for well users are all out of service. Prayers for the victims, and the workers please!

Please pass around my prayers as I'm facing the very great possibility of putting the beloved old orange cat to sleep today.

Oh, gumbiecat, I'm so, so sorry. My heart truly goes out to you.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, prayers for the people of Chicago. I'm sure it's beyond horrible being without power right now.
