Giving me the Stink Eye from afar: very regretably, I hit (w/ my car) and killed a kin-squirrel a few months ago. :-( [I swerved and tried to miss your kin, seriously I did! Lil' Bugger ran back into my way...]
I fostered two squirrels, Brie and Bubba, a while back, and got them from a few weeks old to adulthood. They were then reintroduced into the wild. Since a generous lifespan for squirrels in the wild is six years, I fed them, and every other squirrel in the immediate vicinity, for that length of time. I was the only one in the neighborhood who had birds stealing food from the squirrel feeders. ;)
