MADPRIEST - KINGMAKER

"Dr Rowan Williams is understood to have told friends he is ready to quit the highest office in the Church of England to pursue a life in academia." (The Telegraph)

Biblically, it's the role of the independent prophet to choose the next king. I think I fall into that category. So here is my choice for the next Archbishop of Canterbury.

I am certain that the present bishop of Moray, Ross and Caithness has all the attributes the OCICBW... crowd could possibly require of the future leader of the Anglican Communion.

PLEASE NOTE: I am not joking.

  6. + Mark was brought up in Aberdeen and got an LTh from Furryboots Uni (papal Bull of foundation sign by Rodrigo Borgia) so he's English but a clear case of Nurture triumphing over fallen nature!

  7. I've met Mark. He's English. No Scotsman could ever be eccentric in that particular way.
