From my daughter, Alice: A recent study has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle.
For example: if she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features.
However, if she is menstruating or menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire.
No further studies are expected on this subject.
No argument from me.

ReplyDeleteAt the risk of being held up as an example of someone with no sense of humour, I think the sexist jokes are unworthy of you.
ReplyDeleteThis one is close enough to the edge that I almost want to unsubscribe and it makes me angry. I find being forcibly silenced extremely unfunny and being "accused" of it as a class of person equally unfunny.
But is this a sexist joke? I'm not convinced that it is. I think it's a just a joke about the human condition. In England it is the type of joke that comedians such as Jo Brand would tell on TV - and Jo is a woman. I can't see how it demeans women.
ReplyDeleteWell I thought it was very funny, and I'm female and a feminist. I told it to a friend of mine and she creased up laughing as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for cheering up my day MadPriest!
Thanks, Eigon. I get no end of jokes sent in from the USA about blonde women. I either don't post them or change "blonde women" to "people from Sunderland" who are the sworn enemies of people from Newcastle. I honestly thought this joke made women out to be strong and ballsy and so quite the opposite of a joke belittling women. If it is a sexist joke then it slipped past my censorship because I misunderstood it.
