Following the Prime Minister’s party conference speech, James Malliff, a council cabinet member in charge of the Big Society and localism, sent an offending Twitter message.
It said: “There is no doubt the PM is wrong on this issue. We may as well legalise marriage with animals, crude I concede but no apology." (THE TELEGRAPH)
Actually, a coupling between a member of the Malliff clan and (for example) an orangutan would bring some much needed higher reasoning abilities to their somewhat under-evolved blood line.

Speaking as a married animal myself . . .
ReplyDeleteBut I want to marry ALL my dogs - and one of them is a boy too!
ReplyDeleteSo, that's why you were so interested in legalising polygamy, Renz.
ReplyDeleteThat brings up an interesting point, MP: what if, at some point in the future, a Muslim woman wishes to marry a man who is already married, since a man may have up to four wives according to their tenets. In the US Constitution, the 1st Amendment states that Congress shall make no law mandating a religion, but also shall make no law preventing the free exercise of religious practice. It could well be that the courts could uphold the right of Muslims, and others whose religious beliefs include polygamy, to marry more than one woman, and under the equal rights protections of the 14th Amendment, also allow a woman to marry more than one man. Oh boy.....
ReplyDeleteThat would be me "gay canine bi-interspecies polygamist" and I'm declaring it as a significant tenet of my faith and demanding equal protection under the law...(really I just want to be able to deduct them on my taxes...)
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the underwear that goes with polygamy?
ReplyDeleteWish I'd seen more of it - those Mormon boys tend to be cute...
ReplyDeleteAnd they come in pairs...
ReplyDeleteSurely making orangutans mate with Tories is cruelty to animals MP?
ReplyDeleteI don't know, Renz. It sounds too much like hard work to me. I found bra straps were difficult enough to negotiate, especially in the dark.
ReplyDeleteFr. Dogal - Well, obviously I would only consider the AI option for the very reason you flagged up.
