You never bit or
scratched a human.
You sat on laps.
You never got run over.
You were the perfect cat.
You were my friend
and will be once again
when all is made well.
Jonathan, I'm proud to have met Henry. He was a good cat. As I said on Facebook, Henry loved you best, and I know you will miss him terribly. My sympathy to you. I hope Glenna and Delphi will not miss Henry's sneak attacks too much.
Oh, I'm so, so sorry. This hurts my heart and brings tears to my eyes. As you know, I, too, had a "Henry" - now of blessed memory. I hope they make friends with each other very, very soon.
Your Henry was an absolute beauty and I honor his memory.
Jonathan, I am so sorry for your loss of Henry. I am certain that he was truly a wonderful cat and companion. My heart aches for you as I still recall the loss of my Whitey in 2004. Losing a companion animal is one of the toughest losses we experience in life.
Henry, dear, you'll find in Heaven a sweet little tortie cat named Bean, a beautiful longhaired cat named Fancey, and a crazy Peke named Gizmo. All these were my animal companions. I am sure they will be happy to welcome you to the Summerland and play with you and keep you company.
So very sorry about the loss of Henry. He sounds like a truly wonderful cat. Many thoughts and prayers from me, Gerry, and our five black and white cats Spots, Jade, Scout, Lion and Spitfire.
Just seeing these sweet photos of Henry make my eyes water. May he be in that perfect place of no suffering where he will wait for you to arrive some day. Aelred, Agatha, August, and Sophia, the four felines and I, the human, send love and prayers for your aching heart.
"Be thou comforted, little dog, Thou too in Resurrection shall have a little golden tail." Martin Luther (I'm sure he would have said cat if he had one)
I'm so sorry. Rest in peace, Henry.

If dogs get golden tails I am sure cats do also. Henry's will twitch for you when you meet again. He is a lovely cat.

As I said on FB, BP and Bubba join me in sending our sympathies, and hugs, and purrs.
ReplyDeletehenry was a lucky cat to have such a good long life, and you were lucky to have known Henry. (I won't say "owned" because one never owns cats....)
Aw, that's sad. He sounds lovely - unlike Daughter's cat who turns a walk across the landing into a tightrope of death.
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome cat! Prayers and sympathy, MP. May Henry be there to greet you when the time comes.
ReplyDeleteHe's beautiful MP. Sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeletePrayers for you, Jonathan.

Lots of love to you, Henry, sweetpea.
Just waking up to the sad news. Nothing can replace a friend of so long but, if you've any money left over, have a pint in his honour.
ReplyDeleteOh, that sexy soulpatch!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your fluffy, arching Golden Tail, Henry, in Catnip Heaven.
