On this side of the Pond, I'm afraid the GOP has tainted that term too much for me to ID w/ it.
The UK can keep their hereditary monarchy, as long as we don't have to have one (when you see all "sons of" in US politics, sometimes I wonder if we're going that Wrong Way...)
