PLEASE, LORD, LET IT BE JAMES

Thanks to Susan Russell for putting this up on FaceBook.

  1. When we are in Christ, we are in Christ with everybody else who is in Christ, whether we like it or not--or like them or not!

Outstanding!!! Don't know this man at all, but I'd love to see him--or someone like him--as the next Archbishop of Canterbury.

  2. His is a wonderful tale of true grace. Since his ordination as bishop of Liverpool he has travelled from quite hardcore evangelicalism to an intelligent, loving, extremely Christ-centred evangelicalism that has made him a virtual outcast in the evangelical world here in England and abroad. Unfortunately, he has had some heart problems (ironic for a man with such a big heart) and so most people have written him off as far as becoming archbishop is concerned. I think they should give him the job even if it kills him (I mean, we do go to heaven after all). He'll probably do more good in just a short time than the previous two incumbents achieved in their entire careers.

  3. What he said here is truly outstanding. I'm so glad to know there's someone - some bishop type, I mean - who thinks this way.

  4. So you don't even like George Carey?

  5. You talking to MadPriest, Anonymous, or to me?

For what it's worth, no I don't like George Carey. Among other things, he's RUDE. I've observed his rudeness with my own eyes. Ugh.

(Of course, feel very free to ignore what I just said if you weren't talking to me in the first place.)
