Would that be their first, second or third wives? Does it matter? Bring on the Lie detector tests (to be given on a monthly basis to all bishops by the Lambeth Palace current staff). Perhaps they can split the cost of the Lie Detectors with the Archbishop of Westminster? So much/many to do, so little time.
I have a feeling that the 14 gay Church of England bishops already in post are so used to deceiving the public that they will easily pass a lie detection test.
I think you are right. The most likely believe their own lies...it's easy when coupled with denial/pretend. What a group of moral leadership...it's hard to imagine the depth of the deceit (they probably depend on that).
