ROOT OF ALL EVIL CANAL TREATMENT

From THE TENNESSEAN:

Andrew Byrd has filed a $3.7 lawsuit against the Family Chapel Church of God in Pigeon Forge; pastor Joel Arwood; Arwood's wife, Theresa Arwood; and Charles Shields. Byrd said the Arwoods asked to meet him last February at the church, where Teresa Arwood claimed he had a demon in him. Byrd said Joel Arwood and Shields jumped him, knocking out a tooth crown and cracking other teeth.

The lawsuit said Arwood later bragged to his congregation that he had "punched the devil and knocked the devil's tooth out."

  1. It is quite possible that the tooth-worm legend is mythologically linked to the fruit in the Garden of Eden and the origin of the 'knowledge of good and evil' so I suppose the devil might have had something to do with it. But if I ever go travelling that's one chapel that I'll avoid.

    1. A a sensible decision, Pidge. With the price of emergency dental surgery being what it is, best not to take the risk.
